Karune has posted his third edition of answers to StarCraft 2 community member questions today.
In this Q&A, we learn such things as what the role of heroes will be in StarCraft 2, in-game hotkeys, max unit count, etc.
"What is the role of heroes in StarCraft II? Will they be the same as in StarCraft? StarCraft II campaign heroes will fulfill roles similar to what appeared in the original StarCraft single player experience, but they will have even more unique abilities from standard units, and will be more innovatively integrated into the story campaign. Heroes will not be buildable in multiplayer."

Blizzard has released their official building information page on the Protoss building, the Stargate, today.
"The warships of the protoss fleet require a much stronger warp link in order to materialize than a standard gateway can provide. The immense stargate is capable of calling ships from high orbit or across immense distances to appear on a planet surface. The construction of one or more stargates at a protoss base is a sure sign that it has become a major staging point for an offensive."
The SCZ Game Information building database has been updated with all new known information.
Category: StarCraft 2Good news for the old school original StarCraft players. Big Game Hunters and Lost Temple are coming to StarCraft 2.
In the latest PC Gamer magazine release, which featured StarCraft 2, Chris Sigaty, StarCraft 2's lead producer, confirmed that Big Game Hunters and Lost Temple will make an appearance in StarCraft 2.
"PCGamer: You may have an underground rebellion on your hands from all these "unwanted" units, in terms of the multiplayer, I know you guys are going to come up with a whole bunch of new stuff, but back in the day, you need to have stuff like Blizzard's Map of the Week. Do you think we'll see a return of classic maps, like Big Game Hunters, reinterpreted in your beautiful new game engine?
Chris Sigaty: Yup! I believe we have Big Game Hunters up and running now, we [also] have Lost Temple. So, yes, you'll definitely see them reinvented using the new engine. As far as releasing maps of the week and that sort of stuff... With Warcraft III, we [recently started] tournaments, and now we have PR teams and a lot more community involvement. We're gonna get some great maps out there so that players can continue to have new and fresh experiences."
